CSIR-NPL, New Delhi , a prestigious laboratory of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research ie CSIR, is having strength of 900 people comprising Scientists, Technical and Administration staff besides number of young researchers engaged in different R&D activities of NPL. The staff members have got together and formed the NPL Sports Club which is a registered body under the Society Registration Act 1960 ( Regis. No. S1103 dated 22-6-1957).

The NPL club is an active sports entity, very vibrant, and raring to go under the able Presidentship of the youthful Prof Budhani. The Club is currently housed near the Semi Conductor Laboratory and faces the new Standards Building. We organise winter games (races, badminton, table-tennis) amongst the laboratory staff. The Club subscribes to 20 magazines of varied nature and subjects that are provided to the staff. On an average two Outstation tours per year are also organised some recent destinations being Rajasthan, Shimla, Goa.
