Monolayers and Liquid Crystals
D. Ferroelectric Liquid Crystals:
The doping of various types of nanoparticles (NPs) in liquid crystal (LC) material has been extensively investigated since last decade owing to its attractive electro-optical properties and potential applications in electronic industry. The most advantageous thing with these nanoparticles doped liquid crystals is the tunability of electronic and optical properties of nanoparticles with the functional and structural flexibilities of liquid crystals.
